The album features virtuostic guitar and violin duets, along a
musical arc that takes us from devils to angels : featuring the
music of the devil on the violin - Paganini, through the music of
the greatest Spanish composers, to Piazzolla's angel-related
music. The repertoire is a mix of original compositions and
arrangements, including two new arrangements by Xuefei which pair
a virtuostic guitar part to two of Fritz Kreisler's legendary
violin transcriptions.
Xuefei's duo partner is the violinist Mengla Huang - himself a
winner of the renowned Paganini violin competition, and often
referred to as the Chinese Paganini !
Given the devils to angels arc, it is only appropriate that the
recording was made in London's Angel Studios. It is available
worldwide in digital format.
